Hey guys! Today I’m going to be showing you the basics to build your own parkour course in Minecraft! Parkour can be super fun, and I’ve noticed that quite a lot of you like playing parkour maps, so read on to learn some tips for creating your very own parkour course that you can play on your own or give to your friends to play!
Firstly, you’ll want to find an open space to start building.
Secondly, you’ll now want to build a starting area.
Next, you’ll want to start by making a simple pillar. This can mark the start of your parkour course and you can build on from it.
A good tip I’ve learned for building parkour is to create a line that you can walk across, like the picture below.
Once you’ve created a big line, you can go back and break up holes to make it so you’ll have to jump across like shown below!
There are also a few different things you can do whilst you build your own parkour course in Minecraft. If you do a simple jump course without any variation in it people might get a bit bored of it. One good variation is to include ladders that you have to climb up! These can be tricky to create properly, but they can be fun to climb around.
Another variation is to create a hole you have to jump through! Jumping big distances is really great fun because it gives you that fluttery feeling in your stomach! You could create something like shown below, where you’ll have to jump into the water and dodge the lava!
The greatest parkour courses must be tested, too! Before you can successfully build your own parkour course in Minecraft, make sure you’ve tried it out a few times.
You have to find a good balance between fun and challenging, and too difficult and boring. Make sure to make a finish line to end your parkour course as well!
Hopefully, this will help you build your own parkour course in Minecraft! If you’d like more guides like this, let me know down below!
